AllWeb is the leading conference on digital marketing, business and transformation in Macedonia. It creates unique possibilities for connecting and learning from some of the globally most influential thinkers and doers. Each dot in this amazing event is thoughtfully shaped to focus your perspective on the future and prepare you and your team for the digital challenges.
This was our team’s second year in attendance and it surely won’t be the last one.
This year’s line-up of speakers was amazing. It featured some of the most talented, successful and creative digital business minds of our time.
The whole event was very uplifting and the atmosphere was amazing. The organizers really put their hearts into the entire event.
Keep an eye on your competitor’s SEO
Take the advice of the SEO pros like Matt Desmier, Maja Jovančević and Granit Doshlaku.
They discussed the fundamentals of SEO and shared a hand-full of useful tools and statistics regarding the matter.
Apart from building your own SEO, it was stressed that each company should also follow the SEO of their competition, as well as the keyword ranking for the entirety of the industry.
The topic of SEO was also closely related (if not intertwined) with the Content which companies produce – shedding light and putting an emphasis on why it’s important to keep a close eye on your competition.
One tip Granit gave was to write longer texts than your competitors, due to the way Google’s algorithm works (favouring long coherent texts), as well as to use Google Images Marketing Strategies to gain better rankings.
Granit also broke down the stages of keyword intent and their meaning, dividing it into three stages Informational (What is…?), Investigational (What does it do?), and Transactional (How can I…?) – keeping track of which type of keyword intent is most frequent on your website can illustrate in which mindset your audience is.
Influencer or Content Creator?
Seeing how our team is currently working hard on Famenote, our platform for Influencer Marketing, we were stoked for this panel of individuals!
This segment was kicked off by none other than the amazing and inspirational Alex Barker. She very vividly illustrated why every company should be more “Pirate” and what pillars to build this new-wave workspace atmosphere around – hint: It’s based on the Pirate’s Code of Conduct.
Some of the new rules include making your workspace more fun and doing ‘1 in – 1 out’ (for every new project you get, you let one go) approaches for projects. Apart from intercompany politics she also briefly mentioned the importance of clients and how everyone should follow the “Nothing for us without us” concept of marketing, which involves thoroughly getting to know who you advertise towards and what your customers think of your company or marketing methods.
“In the darkness there is discovery, there is a possibility, and there is freedom.”
Now moving on to the Influencers/Content Creators – there were two Influencers and a content & brand communication specialist making up the stage presence.
The awe-inspiring Majestic pointed out how the word Influencer irritated her, as it had gotten itself negative connotations from people who were not portraying the title right or simply were uninformed as to what it meant. She stated that she herself prefers the term Content Creator, as it captured the essence of their field of work and illustrates them better on the Market as well.
As soon as break-time came, we rushed to meet our local Influencers… cough Content Creators – and we’re super stoked we had the chance to do so, as it inspired us to continue what we’re doing, knowing we have educated and talented Creators to back us up and fully indulge themselves into our vision. We discussed many topics regarding local and international Influencer Marketing and of course got their opinion on the platform we are currently focusing on bringing to life for them.
Both Dario and Aleksandra were lovely to talk to and we were super delighted to see how well informed these individuals were about their field of work and how motivated they were to help advance digital influence marketing in Macedonia and the Balkans. During their panel talk they answered some of the biggest, most frequented question about Influencer Marketing, such as “What a day in the life of an Influencer is like”, as well as a question about their cooperation with Brands.
Creativity is best noticed in children
The third and last segment was by far our most inspiring section of the entire event. Seeing how our company is still in its early development stages, we loved the motivation and knowledge these speakers had to offer.
We had the opportunity to listen to (and also hang out with after the event) Blaze Arizanov’s shocking story of creating a start-up company which not only profits but also pushed towards changing the entirety of one countries culture – that country being India. He used all types of “Pirate” techniques (such as sexualizing Indian deities in his Digital Marketing) to spread his message and emphasize the point his company, StayUncle was making and everything they stood for.
Daniele also offered an extensive speech about creativity, breaking it down into its four building blocks: Maker, Hacker, Teacher, and Thief.
To put it briefly, he emphasized how creativity is best noticed in children – it involves the ability of ‘stealing’ information, hacking or breaking down the fundamental of it, teaching yourself or others of how it was put together and using those principles to make something new.
“Originality is for people with short memories.”
In short, the event was really well put together, the people there were amazing, the speakers were really motivational and knowledgeable, and it was overall an unforgettable experience.
The event was divided into three parts – SEO, Influencer Marketing, and Entrepreneurship – each one being extensively broken down and explained by professionals and successors in the field.
We had fun, we learned so many things which we’ll be incorporating into our further Marketing Strategies and we also made friendships with visionaries alike.
Keep being awesome AllWeb, see you all next year – Octo Group Team!
